The things you need...
1. GIMP (download in http://gimp.org )
2. An image with an object.
Step 1
Open your image in GIMP
Step 2
Use the path tool and start create a path and surround the whole object. You can use Zoom Tool, to have a nearer view, or just simply press Ctrl+*scroll the wheel on your mouse* Take your time (:
Step 3
After you ALMOST finish the path, remember to leave a tiny space between the starting point and the ending point. You can see the path that I created is not that nice, but we can edit it later :), but you can use your nice and create the path nice,
Step 4
Now,click the "Selection from Path" and remember you must use your Path tool then only you can see the Selection from Path.
Step 5
If you want the background of the object is transparent,
Right Click > Layer > Transparency > Add Alpha Layer.
And now, go to Select > Invert. And just simply press "Delete" on your keyboard and the background will be delete
Step 6
If your image still not that satisfied, you can use Eraser, and remember to use a circle Brush, and simply erase the remaining background.
